I wanted to share my experience with Modern Innovations. We moved to the area not knowing any contractors and had a really big job to renovate many areas of our home. Based on good reviews, we decided to get a quote from Derrick and then proceed with his company. From quote to finished product, Derrick was in daily communication with me to let me know what work was lined up, which trades would be at the house, if there were any delays in product arriving or trades not being able to attend the house, he let me know immediately. A renovation that took two and a half months, I never had to wonder what was happening. Derrick communicated so well and also stopped by daily or near daily to check on the progress of the job and to make sure everything was on track.
The trades he has retained are excellent. I want to mention Caleb especially. This young man was in our house nearly every day for two and a half months, we lived in our home during the renovation. I can’t tell you how nice it was to have such a professional and pleasant tradesman enter the home every day. The quality of the work is exceptional. We had our kitchen gutted and Derrick and his team discovered some deficiencies that had they not been discovered and addressed by his team, could have resulted in dire consequences.
Our primary ensuite was a complete gut job as well and Caleb’s work was exceptional. From carpenters, to tile setters, to electricians…Derrick has assembled an awesome team.
I can truly say that although living in our home throughout the renovation was a marathon, the Modern Innovations team made it as painless as possible. I am so happy with the end result of all the work they did.
If anyone wonders whether they should take a chance and hire Modern Innovations, I would be happy to share my experience. In fact, a family member has already retained the services of Modern Innovations as they witnessed how our renovation was coming along and were very impressed!
So once again, thank you for working with my husband and I to make our “new to us” home feel brand new and a home we’ll be happy in for many years to come! Craig and I wish you all the success in the world!
